A nightly pass over every archived day reads what the frames know without being told: first light measured against the astronomical sunrise (the marine layer's thickness at the horizon), a smoke index from the sky's red/blue ratio, chlorophyll over the big tree, true visibility from the contrast of far buildings, the campus's hourly motion pulse, and a per-address ledger of every persistent night lamp — including the nights one goes dark.
The camera has changed buildings and windows before; scene fingerprints detect each vantage change, and no metric is compared across one.
